One of the reasons you wanna do a trust instead of a will is because a will requires that you have to go through a court process and a trust does not. If all you have is a will in your estate plan, that means that when you die, your beneficiaries are gonna have to hire a lawyer and go through a lengthy and expensive court process. All this can be avoided with a trust. With a trust, the beneficiaries inherit automatically. All they have to do is present a death certificate and then all the assets are transferred exactly how you laid it out in your trust.
