Erik Perez, Esq., co-founder and shareholder of Perez Mayoral, P.A., leads the firm’s Homeowners and Condominium Association Litigation Practice Group for general association disputes. As head of this practice, he focuses on representing homeowners and unit owners in their disputes with associations, leveraging his extensive litigation experience and comprehensive understanding of association operations to advocate effectively for his clients’ interests. Mr. Perez also leads the Business Litigation Practice Group, wherein he focuses on representing individuals as well as companies involved in commercial disputes. Prior to co-founding Perez Mayoral, P.A., Mr. Perez developed significant expertise at several of Florida’s most distinguished law firms. His experience includes representing large national insurance carriers and successfully defending multimillion-dollar liability cases. Most notably, he gained valuable insight into association operations and strategies while representing HOAs and condominium associations, knowledge that now proves invaluable in his advocacy for homeowners and unit owners. At Perez Mayoral, P.A., Mr. Perez handles a diverse range of association matters in both federal and state courts, from covenant enforcement issues and improper assessments to property damage claims and selective enforcement disputes. His practice also encompasses complex business and commercial litigation, particularly in real estate matters involving developers, contractors, small businesses, and individual property owners. After graduating with honors from the University of Miami School of Law and earning his bachelor’s degree in Business magna cum laude from Florida International University, Mr. Perez has maintained active involvement in the legal community. He is a member of the Miami-Dade County Trial Lawyers Association, Miami-Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association, and Hispanic American National Bar Association.
